I. Scope of Practice Disclosure
The services provided by The Light Guides are limited strictly to remote energy work. The business is a dba of Pelican Bookkeeping, LLC and is based at 5319 Krenning St., San Diego, CA 92105. The Light Guides comply with California Business and Professions Code Sections 2053.5 and 2053.6 for alternative practitioners as follows:
a. Under California Business and Professions Code Sections 2053.5 and 2053.6, you are hereby notified that The Light Guides and its practitioners are NOT licensed by the State of California as healing arts practitioners.
b. Antonieta Uribe is NOT a physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, or state-registered healthcare professional.
c. The Light Guides does not treat, cure, or diagnose any medical or mental health conditions. If you are currently experiencing physical or psychological medical concerns, or if you have a history of medical conditions, you are strongly advised to seek and continue any care, treatment, or prescriptions directed by your primary doctor, specialist, or licensed mental health professional. The energy work services provided by The Light Guides are complementary to and distinct from state-licensed healing arts services offered by others.
d. The type of remote energy work performed by The Light Guides does not require licensing by the State of California.
e. Antonieta Uribe is a Reiki Master in Usui Reiki, Holy Fire Reiki and Karuna Holy Fire Reiki. Antonieta started receiving training with a Reiki Master and Teacher starting in 2013 and continued training and practicing Reiki to present date. See her full Bio.
f. Not Medical Advice- Energy work provided by the Light Guides is a non-invasive, remote, complementary wellness modality that is spiritual and holistic in nature and intended for relaxation, stress reduction, and energetic balance. The theory is that rebalancing the body’s energy field promotes overall wellness. Energy work is not a substitute for medical or psychological diagnosis, advice, treatment or care from a licensed medical professional.
g. By booking and attending a session with The Light Guides, you understand energy work services do not include invasive procedures, prescriptions, or medical diagnoses, and that you take full responsibility for your own physical and mental well-being.
II. COPPA Compliance
The work performed by The Light Guides is for adults 18 years or older, and for children 13 years or older with parental/guardian consent.
III. Forms & Payment
Forms related to Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Accessibility will be sent by The Light Guides to the client for electronic signatures before transacting payment for the first session. These forms will require re-signature every year that the client returns for energy work sessions or if a change to their content has occurred since the last session.
Payment for the session will be transacted in advance of the virtual meeting and the energy work session.
IV. Client Code of Conduct & Online Behavior Policy
To maintain a respectful, safe, and professional environment for virtual meetings and virtual energy work, all clients must adhere to the following behavioral standards during virtual interactions (meetings or sessions), phone calls, and text/email communications:
a. Professional Environment: Clients must attend virtual meetings from a private, quiet space.
b. Appropriate Attire: Clients must be fully and appropriately clothed for the duration of the video session, just as they would be for an in-person appointment.
c. Sobriety Requirement: Clients must be fully sober during sessions. Participating in a virtual session under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs, or any substance that impairs cognitive function is strictly prohibited.
d. Zero Tolerance for Misconduct: Any form of harassment, abusive language, discrimination, threats, intimidation, or sexually suggestive remarks/behavior will result in the immediate termination of the session.
e. Right to Terminate Service: The practitioner reserves the right to refuse service or end a session immediately, at their sole discretion, if a client violates this Code of Conduct. In the event of a session termination due to misconduct, no refunds will be issued for the remaining time or the booked service.
f. Recording Prohibited: To protect privacy, clients are strictly prohibited from recording audio or video of the session (including screenshots) without the express, written consent of the practitioner.
V. Delivery of Session Summaries
Following energy sessions that include a summary report, The Light Guides reserves the right to deliver this summary in writing (via email) either typed or as a photograph of notes, or as an MP3 audio recording also via email. While client preferences are taken into consideration, the final delivery method is at the sole discretion of the practitioner. All summaries are transmitted via standard, unencrypted digital channels. Modifications to this delivery process can be made at the request of the client to accommodate Accessibility needs:
The summary report reflects virtual energy work services rendered solely as a complementary wellness modality that is spiritual and holistic in nature and intended for relaxation, stress reduction and energetic balancing. This document or recording does not constitute a medical record, clinical diagnosis, or psychological evaluation. It is an momentary statement about the status of your energy at the time of the session. Please consult a licensed medical or mental health professional for any health concerns.
VI. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This business is operated out of the State of California, United States of America. By booking a session, you agree that any interaction, service, or dispute arising from this business is governed exclusively by California law, specifically California Business & Professions Code Section 2053.5 (Health Freedom Act). You agree that services are rendered virtually from California, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in California.
